February 17, 2012 Ladies and Gentlemen, The American Institute of Architects Central Oklahoma Chapter (AIACOC) is proud to bring Architecture Week to the public. We will be celebrating great design within Central Oklahoma as we celebrate AIA Central Oklahoma’s 60^th Anniversary. This year the events will run April 9th thru the 14^th. The events are Decadent Design, OKLAHOMANMADE, KIDesign, Luncheon, Architecture Tour, and a Community Project. Decadent Design pairs chefs from local restaurants with architects in the chapter. The five teams this year will each design and build a dessert that will be available in the restaurants. The teams will compete for both best design and best taste. The best design will be decided by online voting, and the best taste will be decided at Decadent Design on April 12, 2012 at the Untitled Gallery from 5:00 pm until 7:00. More information on this event can be found at www.aiacoc.org/desserts. Also at the Decadent Design on April 12^th will be OKLAHOMANMADE. This is an event for future photographers, professional photographers, intern architects, architects, and the general public to show their images of Oklahoma built environment. The OKLAHOMANMADE Photographs will be on display and winners will be announced during this event. Come join us for OKLAHOMANMADE and Decadent Design at the Untitled Gallery from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on April 12^th. On Saturday April 14, 2012, the AIACOC will have two events. One will be the Architecture Tour and the other will be KIDesign. The Architecture Tour is a tour of nine projects in the OKC metro that have been designed by architects. The 2012 Tour locations can be viewed at www.aiacoc.org/tour. Tickets for this year’s tour will go on sale March 26^th and will be $12 in advance or $15 the day of the tour. AIACOC and the Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture invite kids 1^st through 6^th grade to participate in KIDesign. KIDesign is an event that helps our youth discover architecture in a hands on classroom approach. We would like to welcome you to celebrate our 60^th year by attending any and or all of our Architecture Week events.
